Making Telecommuting Work: An Interactive Discussion of Best Practices

Research Square
601 West Main Street, Suite 202
Durham, NC

October 25, 2018
3:00-5:00 pm

Telecommuting allows publishers, librarians, and service providers alike to build geographically flexible teams, reduce overhead and commuting time, promote collaboration across offices and countries, and allow employees work-from-home flexibility. But these changes to the workplace have also brought new challenges, both for staff working outside the traditional office and managers of off-site teams.

Join us at Research Square in Durham for a panel of three speakers who will share their telecommuting challenges and triumphs. We will then break into small interactive groups to discuss best practices and practical tips for telecommuting success. Stay afterwards to continue the discussion and enjoy a networking session.

Speakers:
Chhavi Chauhan, PhD,
Director of Scientific Affairs, American Society for Investigative Pathology
Jaime Fox, PhD,
Team Manager, American Journal Experts
Christa Walker,
Associate Editor, Open Access Journals, SAGE Publishing
