I'm an active member of SSP and I work on a few different committees. As a participant in the Philadelphia Regional Committee, it recently came to my attention that some notifications about great SSP events were not getting through.
My company (Data Conversion Laboratory) is based in NY but I am based in Philadelphia. Thus I was only receiving notifications for events based in the NY metro area.
I like to keep apprised of all the regional events and you might too. Take a moment and login to C3 to make sure your communication preferences are up to date and be sure to select "I consent to receive all communications from SSP."
Philadelphia has a great event coming up on December 9th, "
It's an Open World: A Round Table Event."
The Philly group is great fun and we have folks from the whole scholarly ecosystem--authors, commercial publishers, association publishers, service providers, libraries, funders, students, and more. Our December event will take place at the American Association for Cancer Research--the event will be interactive (but NOT in a cringey way!) and we'll provide some great tapas and libations.

Sincerely,
Marianne
