Hi everyone, I'm delighted to announce that registration is now open for the first NISO Plus Forum, a new, in-person event that will provide a bridge between the virtual NISO Plus conferences. It will be held at the AGU headquarters in Washington, DC on September 20, 2022-the day before SSP's annual New Directions seminar at the same venue on September 21-22, to minimize travel for those of you planning to attend that. I'm especially happy that we are also giving registrants the option to support the SSP Generations Fund, by purchasing a ticket for a fundraising event taking place on AGU's rooftop terrace immediately after the NISO Plus Forum.

The theme of the Forum is Metadata: Structures, Exchange, Identifiers. It's intended for information professionals across all functions and organization types, who have an interest in metadata, who have the seniority and functional expertise to understand the challenges and opportunities for both their organization and the wider community. The focus will be primarily on practical work in small groups, to help shape the focus of the NISO Plus conference and NISO's standards development priorities more generally-a great opportunity to share your perspectives with a diverse group of colleagues from across the information industry, and to better understand theirs.

Tickets are $199 for members and $249 for non-members (with many thanks to our sponsors for their support). Because of the interactive nature of this event, registrations will be strictly limited to 100 attendees, and organizations can reserve a maximum of three tickets each initially.

It's our first in-person event since the start of the pandemic, and we want it to be safe and welcoming for everyone, so please see the bottom of the NISO Plus Forum page for our Covid policy, including cancellations.

Thanks, and hope to see you there!
