I wanted to share details of our upcoming OpenCon satellite event that Crossref is co-hosting with the Bodleian Libraries.
It has been a turbulent year to say the least, but we still plan to run what will be our 6th event in an online format and wanted to invite you to attend. We have some fantastic speakers who will cover a range of subjects from preprint initiatives during the pandemic, the principles of social justice and the African concept of Ubuntu and how this resonates with the issue of democratization and decolonialization of research/knowledge, the work that Open Knowledge Maps and ReFigure are doing to consolidate and visualise knowledge around COVID-19 and a talk on on OpenABM-Covid19 – how an open-source model made a difference to the pandemic.
The event will be free to attend, and it would be great if you could join us.
