The American Journal of Public Health is sponsoring a two-part workshop centered on grant applications and funding efforts for journals who strive to continue equitable, diverse, and inclusive work but may have lost resources due to funding cuts. If this describes your journal operation, we invite you to register to participate in our workshop, which will have a virtual "pre-workshop" call followed by an in-person skills workshop. We have a limited sponsorship provided that will provide travel-related compensation (airfare, hotel room, and meals) for up to 20 individuals/representatives for the in-person skills workshop.
In this two-part training, participants will sharpen their storytelling and fundraising skills and:
- Learn the core elements of branding and storytelling
- Practice writing and sharing their journals' "why"
- Gather together with a fundraiser expert to craft an action plan to diversify funding sources
Part 1: September 9th – Virtual
Part 2: October 5th – University of Omaha – Nebraska
While sponsorship is limited, we welcome interest and attendance from groups that we could not fund but would like to participate and are willing to cover travel costs.
