Hi everyone!
I know I'm not the only PID enthusiast in the SSP community, so I wanted to let you all know that PIDfest 2026, which will be held on October 27-29 in Leiden, Netherlands, is accepting proposals for sessions through March 22.
Our theme this year is Keeping Knowledge Connected, and the programme will be organised around three themes:
-
Strengthening Community: energizing a global PID community collaborating across disciplines, sectors, and regions.
-
Addressing Challenges: confronting barriers to PID adoption and sustainability.
-
Demonstrating Value: showcasing tangible and potential benefits of PIDs for all stakeholders
We want to hear from a mix of voices, experiences, and formats, and we welcome proposals from anyone who is using – or planning to use – PIDs, wherever you are on your PID journey. We're aiming for a range of session formats, including short talks, panels, workshops, "birds of a feather" sessions, interactive presentations, lightning talks, and posters, and more.
And, of course, please mark the dates in your calendar - we'll be sharing more information about the conference, including registration, soon, and I hope to see you there!
All best, Alice
