Pre-conferences taking a deep dive into AI tools and use cases in scholarly communications as well as best practices and guidelines for assessing the performance of open access eBooks. And for the first time, JATS-Con, the user conference for the Journal Article Tag Suite standard, will also be held as a full-day pre-conference.
An opening keynote from Cindy Hohl, president of the American Library Association and director of operations and policy analysis at the Kansas City Library, on "The Human Standard: Equal Library Access for All."
A closing keynote from Dr. Timnit Gebru, Executive Director of the Distributed Artificial Intelligence Research Institute (DAIR) and the recipient of the 2025 Miles Conrad Award, NISO's lifetime achievement award for those working in the information community.
