The conference program covers a wide range of hot and emerging topics of interest to the information community, including agentic AI, publisher and AI partnerships, new tools for open research and research integrity, cybersecurity, and new ways to think about and manage metadata. Each session includes time for discussion and brainstorming, giving participants an opportunity to interact with speakers and generate ideas. Past NISO Plus conferences have led to NISO standards initiatives and projects, so this is a great venue for identifying shared problems and exploring solutions!
We're also excited about the keynote speakers headlining the NISO Plus Global/Online program this year: Dr. Mark Aldridge, Southampton Solent University, on his experience developing the AI-enhanced BBC Maestro mystery-writing course, and Nancy S. Kirkpatrick, Dean of Libraries at Smith College, on what leadership looks like in the context of current challenges in scholarly communication.
Tickets start at just $49 for students, attendees who are unemployed, retirees, and those in low- and middle-income countries. There are also discounts for groups: If your organization is sending five or more people to the conference, the early bird rate is just $100 each for NISO members, or $175 each for non-members!
